Level 3 Stroke Readiness Prerequisite: Performance of Level 2 skills Stroke Readiness - Class objective: To increase swimming skills competency. To practice safety and rescue skills. To teach front crawl with rotary breathing for 15 yards. To teach back crawl and elementary backstroke skills for 10 yards each. Level 4 Stroke Development Prerequisite: Performance of Level 3 skills Stroke Development - Class objective: To develop confidence and competency in strokes and safety skills beyond preceding levels. To introduce breast stroke and side stroke. To increase endurance for front crawl, elementary backstroke, and breast- stroke and sidestroke kicks. Level 5 Stroke Reinforcement Prerequisite~ Performance of Level 4 skills Stroke Refinement - Class objective: To continue refinement of front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke and sidestroke. To introduce butterfly kick, open turns and spring- board diving. Level 6 Skill Proficiency Prerequisite: Performance of Level 5 skills Skill Proficiency - Class Objective: To develop maximum effi- ciency and endurance for strokes. To introduce surface dives and flip turns. To continue education of aquatic safety skills. Level 7 Advanced Skills Prerequisite: Performance of Level 6 skills Advance Skills - Class objective: To encourage lifetime fitness. To refine strokes learned in previous levels. To develop spring- board diving skills. To teach advanced safety skills. PRE-COMPETITIVE LESSONS Class objectives: To teach competitive strokes using current techniques. To teach flip and open turns meeting USS stan- dards. To increase the swimmer's speed and endurance. 8 ADULT LESSONS This class is for all levels of experiejqce from beginnin vanced. Each student receives individual attention to their own ability. JUNIOR LIFEGUARD TRAINING (Min. age 10 yrs.) Learn basic lifeguard skills, Adult first aid.
