THE ISSAQUAH PRESS  was first published on the first day of the 20th Century, January 18, 1900, and was Issaquah's oldest continuing operating business when it closed its doors after 117 years of operation. The oldest newspaper on the Eastside ceased publication on February 24, 2017.

The Issaquah History Museums (IHM) is a nonprofit organization that operates the Gilman Town Hall Museum and the Issaquah Depot Museum, as well as the Issaquah Valley Trolley and numerous exhibits throughout the city. The organization’s mission is “to discover, preserve and share the history of Issaquah and its environs.”
